Playing basketball helps young people learn basic coordination and team-building skills with an added bonus of developing confidence and making new friends. In addition, getting your child involved in basketball at a young age helps encourage exercise and serves as a foundation for staying active later in life.

Through MVP coaching, youth learn the fundamentals of basketball involving dribbling, throwing, catching and pivoting. Along the way, they improve their gross motor skills, flexibility, endurance and hand-eye coordination.

MVP also focuses on psychological development, such as teaching our youth basketball participants to communicate and solve basic problems at school and home.

Skills Academy

A skill development training program for children ages 5 to 12 designed to teach basketball fundamentals. The program covers:

  • Ball Handling / Dribbling
  • Passing
  • Rebounding
  • Shooting
  • Defense
  • Footwork
  • Rules and Regulations of the Game

Program runs 8-10 weeks.

Training sessions are 60 minutes.


Advanced Group Training

A performance enhancement training program for children ages 13-18 designed to increase skill level, improve athleticism and develop basketball IQ. The program covers the following:

  • Speed and Quickness
  • Agility
  • Flexibility
  • Jumping
  • Strength
  • Stamina

Program runs 8-10 weeks.

Training sessions are 60 minutes.



A program for children ages 5-18 designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball, improve athleticism, develop player IQ, learn team concepts/strategies, be exposed to coaching and participate in competitive games. The program covers:

  • Shooting, Dribbling, Passing
  • Defense, Rebounding, Footwork
  • Strength & Conditioning
  • Sportsmanship, Game Etiquette
  • Rules & Regulations
  • Self Esteem, Self Confidence

Program ranges from 2-5 days.

Training days run minimum 6 hours.



Designed to introduce the sport of basketball, fundamentals of the game and create opportunities for children ages 5-18. Participants have fun in a positive environment as they learn basketball concepts and develop their overall game. Clinics focus on helping kids to improve their skills and develop their talent by learning basic practice drills. This program can include:

Program can run from 60 minutes to 8 hours.


Coaches Clinics

Provides training for coaches, managers, leaders and mentors in skill and competencies. Individuals gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the coaching process. Program includes:

  • Sport Terminology and Definitions,
  • Court/Field Diagram and Dimensions
  • Age Specific Drills
  • Sample Practice Plan
  • Coaching Philosophies & Techniques

Program can range from 60 minutes to 5 days.
